| THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDINGS |
Hart Barn is set within a simple "courtyard" of old farm buildings in the delightful conservation village of Hartsop. Three of the four properties are owned by ourselves: we live in one and the other, Willow Cottage is our holiday apartment. Although we live next door, we do like to respect our guest's privacy, however you have the bonus of us being on hand should you need us and we are always happy to offer tips and advice to ensure you get the most from your holiday.
A parking space is available a few steps away from the front door.

| The back door opens into a private garden with a lower patio which captures the morning sun and has a table and chairs for breakfast "al fresco". The intrepid can climb the steps we have built into the rockface to reach a raised terrace with lovely views south towards Gray Crag. Recliners are provided in the summer to soak up the afternoon sun. In addition a path connects the raised terrace to our own fellside garden, and guests are welcome to explore (picnic rug provided!) this space which has the most fabulous panoramic views over Brotherswater. |
